Meet Our Team

Amy has worked in the addiction treatment field for 38 years. Her favorite quote is from Einstein: “Trying to solve a problem with the same mind that created it is difficult to do alone.” Her experience in chemical dependency began as a BHT, and she later became certified as a case manager. She then pursued further education, earning a Master’s in Counseling Psychology. Her training and education led her to run the family program at Hoag, and later, she headed the IOP program at Mission Hospital’s chemical dependency program. For the past 11 years, Amy has worked as a contract Clinical Supervisor, developing programs and training therapist interns in chemical dependency treatment settings. She is EMDR-trained to assist in working through trauma issues and has 39 years of continued recovery in the 12-step community.

“Teachable moments present themselves every day in behavioral health settings. Working with Guiding Hands allows me to encounter these moments and nurture them into opportunities for growth.”
