Tammy Steward-Nelson- CADC II
Nihan is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her master’s in Counseling Psychology with a Marriage and Family Therapy focus from San Diego State University. Her professional journey encompasses extensive experience gained from community counseling clinics and college counseling centers, where she has had the opportunity to work with a diverse array of clients. She’s currently working towards full licensure and is providing group therapy to clients in different treatment programs.
Nihan specializes in trauma-informed care, and her client-centered and collaborative approach is guided by cultural humility and informed by Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Nihan creates treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs and circumstances.
She values the unique perspectives and experiences each client brings and strives to cultivate a compassionate, non-judgmental, and culturally sensitive environment.
